The Angels Fall Development program, open to kids ages 8-15, is modeled after how a College Baseball Program typically runs their Fall Programs, with a heavy emphasis on development. The Spring is when kids should be playing mostly games, with practices sprinkled into the schedule. The Fall is where kids should be focused on refining their skills and working through high volumes of reps to improve their game. If the focus remains on games, kids will not be seeing the improvement they, and their parents desire.
This Fall, we will be offering three programs in the areas of Hitting, Catching and Middle Infield play. If you’re looking for a true development program, you will not want to miss these programs. All sessions will be held indoors at The Baseball Zone in Gaithersburg, MD. This ensures we do not miss any sessions due to weather; and also allows us to run sessions without having to worry about the loss of daylight.
Our hitting program will focus on the complete hitter, from their ability to control the bat to improving bat speed to improving exit velocity to improving a hitter’s mental approach. We’re covering it all!
Our Catching session will focus on the three primary responsibilities of a catcher: Receiving, Blocking, and Footwork/Throwing mechanics.
Our Middle Infield Program will focus on the feet and the hands. Players will be drilled in agilities; doubleplay feeds and turns; the four types of charge plays; and more.
